Amzaon Empire Documentary Analysis

In this blog I'm going to be writing down my thoughts on the Frontline PBS documentary Amazon Empire. I hope this documentary will further help my understanding of the economy and the affect Amazon had on our economy.

-Jeff Bezos' domination over capitalism

-In 2019 Bezos planned to go to space during a time where Amazon was changing the daily lives of all people.

• going to space was a childhood dream.

• Bezos went to work in Wall Street at a Hedge fund(DE SHAW)

-Internet was booming in the 90's and Bezos saw a economic oppurtunity in the online book market(which didn't exist yet, he was the first to build one)

-Began a online bookstore called Amazon.com

-Jeff Bezos had humble begginings at his company and was just a normal guy at that point.

-Since the beggining Bezos had a vision to sell everything, not just books, on Amazon

• he wanted to sell goods and services, he wanted to sell them all.
