Amazon's early days were focused on the customers.

  • called customer obsession

  • they were focused on always considering the customers ideals

As a website, Amazon could be a data tracker, keeping the information and using it to predict customer behavior.

Amazon started to feel like it was disrespecful to the consumer as they were "exploiting" the data.

In the early days, Amazon never made a profit.

Bezos was able to convince shareholders that Amazon would not be profitable for at least 20 years. A " long term investment".

Not collecting sales tax gave Amazon a huge advantage over other in person retailers.

Bezos invited thousands of buisinesses, small or large, to sell their products online.

  • This is when amazon started to really explode on the internet.

  • Bezos owned all of main street.

That's all for the Amazon documentary, but I want to get into why I chose the stocks I did in my paper money Simulation. Tesla - I saw an article that talked about Tesla's autodrive and autopark feature that was revolutionizing the industry. Also, Tesla's Cybertruck and other products go viral online so that is why I invested in Tesla. Lululemon - Recently health and body fitness is praised in society and where to buy fitness clothing if not Lululemon? I also read an article that Lululemon stock was rising after it cut guidance. I honestly bought lululemon to diversify my portfolio.

NVIDIA - I invested in NVIDIA as they are the best suppliers of top tier GPU and computer parts and, in an article, it is stated that many analysts believe that NVIDIA's stock prices will remain high for a short period of time before falling.

Costco - I invested in costco to diversify and I read that Costco is increasing membership fee's in Septemeber which led me to believe that it could lead to increased profits for Costco.
